When she found out that Victor (Eric Braeden) had Jack (Peter Bergman) kidnapped, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) walked out on her sociopathic husband — yet again. No one expects it to last. Nikki always forgives Victor in the end. For anything.

So now it’s time for them to talk. Nikki will explain why she’s upset. Victor will explain why she has no right to be upset. The is a well-worn script. Except that, this time, something goes awry.

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) doesn’t care that friends like Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc) and Lauren (Tracey Bregman) are angry with her. She doesn’t care that her children, Daniel (Michael Graziadei) and Summer, are angry with her.

All Phyllis cares about is being the most powerful person in Genoa City and forcing everyone to pretend to respect her. And if not respect her, then to fear her. But it’s not going well. The fear just isn’t there, not to mention the respect. So Phyllis takes a wild chance … expecting to get her way this time around.

Adam (Mark Grossman) went to Las Vegas to help Nick (Joshua Morrow) drag Matt (Roger Howarth) out of the shadows. That requires going back to his old, Spider gambling persona.

Adam is happy to take chances, but Nick isn’t as certain. Adam was a professional gambler. He knows just how far he can go. He’s now at the double-or-nothing stage. And he expects an ace.
