BEDMINSTER, NJ — President Donald Trump is taking no prisoners—foreign or domestic. In a wide-ranging gaggle with reporters, the President unleashed a blistering attack on the Obama-Biden administration for the “giant failure” of losing Crimea, while simultaneously threatening to invoke the Insurrection Act to crush anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles.
“Given Away Without a Shot”
While efforts are underway to broker a peace agreement between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Trump expressed disappointment with Russia’s recent missile strikes. However, his harshest words were reserved for his predecessors regarding the sticking point of Crimea.
Zelenskyy has made it clear that Crimea—annexed by Russia in 2014—is a “red line” and must be liberated. Trump dismissed this demand by pointing the finger squarely at Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
“Crimea was given away by Barack Hussein Obama, and by Biden, like 11 or 12 years ago,” Trump told reporters. “I told him [Zelenskyy], he should maybe go back to Obama, ask him why they gave it up. They gave it without a shot being fired by him.”
“Stop Shooting and Sign”
Despite the missile strikes, Trump remains focused on closing the deal. U.S. officials have floated a ceasefire proposal that would freeze current frontlines and potentially recognize Russian control of Crimea—a bitter pill for Kyiv, but one Trump sees as necessary reality.
“I want him [Putin] to stop shooting, sit down and sign a deal,” Trump declared. “We have the confines of a deal, I believe, and I want him to sign it and be done with it.”
He added a trademark jab at the previous administration: “There’s no more games. We have somebody that knows what he’s doing, not like the previous person who didn’t have a clue.”
Chaos in California
Pivotting to the home front, Trump promised severe “repercussions” for protestors in Los Angeles who have been spitting on police officers during violent anti-ICE demonstrations.
After federalizing nearly 2,000 National Guard troops, Trump revealed he is actively considering invoking the Insurrection Act to restore order. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has also placed 500 U.S. Marines from Camp Pendleton on standby.
“We are not going to let our cities burn,” sources close to the administration stated. With peace talks in Europe hanging by a thread and riots raging in California, the President is moving aggressively to reassert American authority on all fronts.
