The fate of Earth was never sealed in Egypt — it was only delayed.
Transformers: Ascension of the Primes shatters the boundaries of everything we thought we knew about Cybertronian history, thrusting Sam, Mikaela, and the Autobots into a cosmic war millions of years in the making.

After surviving the Fallen, Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) desperately tries to patch together a normal life with Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox). But peace was never meant to last. The glyphs that once tormented his mind begin returning in violent, uncontrollable waves — visions of colossal metallic worlds, forgotten gods, and a burning symbol that refuses to fade. These are not memories. They are warnings.

Across Earth, dormant Cybertronian relics — buried under oceans, locked beneath ancient temples, hidden in the Arctic ice — suddenly activate, sending out columns of energy that crack the atmosphere. These surges awaken something far older than the Fallen. Something that should never have risen again.
Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen), troubled by the shifting energy signatures, searches sacred Cybertronian archives and uncovers a lost truth: before the Thirteen Primes, before the Fallen’s betrayal, there existed a sovereign order known as The Ascended Primes — the star-forgers who shaped Cybertron’s first suns and carved the very laws of Energon. Thought destroyed in a celestial civil war, their essence has been reawakened.

Leading them is Apexion, an exiled Prime whose body was shattered in the Age of Creation and rebuilt in the void between galaxies. Twisted by eons of isolation, Apexion has returned with a singular mission:
restore Cybertron… by draining Earth’s entire biosphere into a new mechanical core.
Sam becomes the unwilling key when the symbols in his mind reveal a pathway to the Heart of Eternium, a cosmic artifact with the power to neutralize Apexion’s star-forging energy. But the Heart can only be awakened through a biological consciousness — and Sam’s mind is the only map.
Mikaela joins Arcee and Bumblebee on a high-speed hunt across continents, racing against Decepticon raiders and uncovering relics that hint at the true purpose of humanity’s ancient encounters with Cybertronians. Meanwhile, Colonel Lennox (Josh Duhamel) forms an enhanced NEST task force to contain global destruction as Shockwave, resurrected through a dark Energon fusion, leads the Decepticons in a brutal campaign to seize Sam.
Cities collapse under gravitational pulses, oceans split as Prime titans rise from beneath the crust, and fragments of Cybertron itself begin materializing in the sky. As Earth quakes under these worldbreaking forces, Optimus faces the most painful revelation of his existence — Apexion was once his mentor… and his brother.
In a cataclysmic showdown among ancient star-forges and newly awakened colossi, loyalties fracture, legends come to life, and the Autobots confront the origins of their species. Sam and Optimus must combine human instinct with Prime destiny to unlock the Heart of Eternium before Apexion fuses Earth into a cybernetic world-shell.
Explosive, mythic, and emotionally charged, Ascension of the Primes brings the franchise full circle — blending human courage, Cybertronian lore, and colossal Prime warfare into a showdown that reshapes both Earth and Cybertron forever.
