The Mask 3: Chaos Theory (2026)

Posted on December 6, 2025

Starring: Jim Carrey, Cameron Diaz, Ben Schwartz, Peter Dinklage

S-s-s-somebody Stop Him!

P-A-R-T-Y? Because I gotta! The most outrageously chaotic personality in cinematic history is back. The Mask 3: Chaos Theory (2026) ignites the screen, choosing to ignore the decades in between for a glorious, long-awaited return to the neon-drenched streets of Edge City.

Stanley Ipkiss (Jim Carrey) is now a wealthy, eccentric, and meticulously organized museum curator. For thirty years, he has successfully suppressed the chaos, keeping the wooden relic—the Mask of Loki—locked away in a climate-controlled vault, convinced he has finally outgrown the need for the green-faced maniac.

Loki, Chaos, and a Reality-Warping App

However, the Norse God of Mischief, Loki (Peter Dinklage), has finally tired of waiting. Descending to Earth in a surprisingly grumpy mood, Loki is determined to reclaim his lost property and trigger Ragnarok, not through ancient magic, but through a reality-warping smartphone app that allows users to instantly manifest their worst impulses. When Loki’s chaos threatens to plunge the modern world into digital anarchy, Stanley has no choice but to suit up one last, fateful time.

He is reluctantly joined by the formidable Tina Carlyle (Cameron Diaz), who has evolved into a powerful, incredibly successful lounge owner with a network of underworld contacts. Tina serves as Stanley’s grounded anchor, struggling to keep her composure as the world around her reverts to cartoon physics. Their crew gains an unexpected third member in a young, over-eager conspiracy theorist (Ben Schwartz), who idolizes the local urban legend of “The Mask” and believes the green face is the key to proving all his bizarre theories.

Cartoon Logic Meets the Digital Age

In a world now dominated by deepfakes, augmented reality, and virtual environments, The Mask’s signature “cartoon logic” powers prove more disruptive, unpredictable, and potentially catastrophic than ever before. The film unleashes a dazzling spectacle of hyper-stylized chaos: expect eyes popping out at 5G speeds, balloon animals instantly transforming into tactical, aggressive weapons, and a memorable musical number that forces the entire SWAT team and municipal police force to spontaneously dance the mambo in perfect unison.

Jim Carrey delivers a breathtaking, rubber-faced performance that confirms that time has not slowed down the chaos—it has only amplified it. The Mask 3 is a loud, irreverent, visually stunning blast of pure id that proves that sometimes, the only way to beat a digital threat is with an old-fashioned dose of spectacular, green-faced, anarchic FUN.
