WASHINGTON D.C. — In a blistering condemnation that has ignited a firestorm across the nation, Vice President JD Vance has formally demanded the removal of “Squad” member Rep. Ilhan Omar, labeling her resurfaced comments about “profiling” white men as “sick” and “genocidal.”
The controversy erupted this week after a shocking 2018 clip from Al-Jazeera went viral, thanks to conservative influencers like Laura Loomer and Libs of TikTok. In the footage, Omar explicitly argues that the United States should fear its own white male citizens more than foreign jihadist terrorists.
“I would say our country should be more fearful of White men across our country, because they are actually causing most of the deaths within this country,” Omar stated in the video.
Doubling down on her radical racial rhetoric, she added: “And so if fear was the driving force of policies… we should be profiling, monitoring, and creating policies to fight the radicalization of white men.”
The Vice President wasted no time in shredding the Minnesota Democrat. “This isn’t just sick; it’s actually genocidal language,” Vance posted on X. “What a disgrace this person is.”
Vance was backed by a chorus of outraged Republicans. Senator Mike Lee called the comments “blatant racism,” asking, “Who condemns it?” Meanwhile, House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, who shares the Minnesota delegation with Omar, lamented that she “never ceases to be an embarrassment for Minnesota.”
Rather than apologize for targeting an entire race of Americans, Omar’s office pivoted to victimhood. Responding to the backlash, she claimed she was merely citing an 8-year-old Anti-Defamation League report on “extremist-related murders.”
She then attempted to deflect the criticism by attacking the Vice President directly on foreign policy. “PS you should look up what ‘genocidal’ actually means when you’re actively supporting a genocide taking place in Gaza,” she lashed out, referring to Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists.
The scandal has revived calls for Omar’s expulsion from Congress—and the country. Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) went a step further, urging the Trump administration to send Omar back to Somalia.
“America would be a better place if @IlhanMN were deported back to Somalia,” Gill wrote.
Gill cited a separate video circulating online that appears to show Omar hosting a workshop teaching Somalis—potentially illegal aliens—how to resist federal immigration officials and avoid ICE.
“Representative Omar’s conduct raises questions about to whom she is most loyal – the American people or illegal aliens from Somalia,” a spokesperson for Gill stated. “Representative Gill simply stated that it is disgraceful for a sitting Congresswoman… to facilitate the invasion of our country.”
As the Trump administration ramps up its deportation operations, it appears Ilhan Omar is finding herself increasingly isolated, with even the Vice President of the United States calling out her “anti-American” hate.
