Seahawks immediately sent what is viewed as a highly reasonable trade package to the Colts in an effort to acquire a Hall of Fame-caliber, Pro Bowl star.

The Indianapolis Colts and Pro Bowl cornerback Kenny Moore II have officially parted ways after nine seasons together. According to Adam Schefter, the team is actively exploring trade partners rather than releasing him outright.

Just in: The #Colts and Pro Bowl CB Kenny Moore will part ways after nine seasons and the team is looking for a trade partner, per @AdamSchefter.

Moore, widely regarded as one of the NFL’s best slot corners, has made 111 starts and became a cornerstone of the Colts’ defense. Almost immediately, the Seattle Seahawks entered the conversation with a trade package considered very fair, one that could bring the Pacific Northwest a “caliber star” ready to contribute right away in the 2026 season.

The proposed trade structure is as follows:

Seahawks receive:
• Kenny Moore II
• 2027 fourth-round pick

Colts receive:
• 2026 third-round pick
• Conditional 2027 fifth-round pick

This is a reasonable price for a 30-year-old cornerback entering the final year of his contract, while also allowing the Colts to clear cap space and focus on building a younger defense.

Under head coach Mike Macdonald, the Seahawks are looking to upgrade their secondary after losing several key contributors last season. Adding Moore would not only bring experience, but also help Seattle remain immediately competitive in the NFC West.

Kenny Moore II left a significant mark during his nine years with the Colts. He earned back-to-back Pro Bowl selections in 2021 and 2022.

Most notably, Moore set a franchise record by becoming the first player in Indianapolis Colts history to record two pick-sixes in the same game — an incredible feat he accomplished against the Carolina Panthers in November 2023.

Beyond that, Moore is also one of the few cornerbacks in NFL history to reach major milestones in tackles, interceptions, and sacks at the same time, highlighting his rare all-around ability at the position.

Moore’s leadership role was also fully recognized by the Colts, as he was voted a team captain every year from 2022 through 2025. On Colts.com, Moore received a +5 rating in leadership and locker-room impact.

His contributions have gone far beyond the field and into the community. Moore is the only player in Colts history to be nominated for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award three times, in 2021, 2024, and 2025, thanks to his tireless charitable work.

Moore founded the Love One Foundation, an organization focused on helping children and strengthening communities through education and public service programs.

Those efforts made him a role model not only for his teammates, but for the entire Indianapolis community. Before entering the NFL, Moore had already shined at the college level at Valdosta State. In 2016, he was named a First-team All-American.

Then in 2023, Moore was inducted into the VSU Sports Hall of Fame and the GSC Hall of Fame, clear proof of his journey from undrafted free agent to Pro Bowl star.

During the press conference confirming the deal, Seahawks GM John Schneider said: “Kenny is a true warrior — a player whose experience, leadership, and skill set are still at an elite level. We believe this trade package brings tremendous value for both sides. He will make our secondary more dangerous starting in Week 1.”

With this swift move, the Seahawks are making their ambition to compete for the NFC West crown crystal clear, while the Colts gain additional resources to continue rebuilding their roster. This potential deal is shaping up to be one of the most notable moves of the early 2026 offseason.
