Hassett says the media can pretend everything is great, but Americans felt the damage every single month:
Hassett: The President Trump got it exactly right. I thought his speech last night was fantastic. And he really, really enjoyed having the charts again, I can tell you that, that’s some feedback we got from yesterday, because the bottom line is that the Democrats are out there saying things that are false. And, like, they’re not holding up charts telling you what’s going on. But you know, we have a chart that showed that the typical family buying a new home, saw their mortgage rate go up at an annual rate by $14,000 because of Biden’s inflation and the high interest rates that followed from it.
And so people who have to pay $14,000 a year more just to have their home, of course, they were harmed a lot by Biden, but already because we’ve been getting closer to a balanced budget and leading interest rates down even before we control the Fed more, that we’ve saved a couple thousand dollars of that 14,000 already. So we’re making great progress.
We’ve made huge progress in the last term. And right now, all of the indicators are that the 3% growth that we gave you last time is a really, really low ball estimate of what we’re going to be able to deliver. Because we’ve got the AI boom making productivity go through the roof, we’ve got 18 trillion in new factories being built, we’re actually tracking the groundbreakings—we’re up through about 30 of them since September. And so, the economy is booming, jobs are growing, and but people were absolutely harmed. And so again, the President went through every single price of everything in the charts and he did a lot of it last night. You know, the bottom line is that if you were just a typical family, your month’s groceries cost $400 when President Trump left office, and it cost almost $550 when Joe Biden left office. So that extra $150 a month, after paying also $14,000 more a year for your mortgage, it really adds up to a lot of stuff that has to be fixed.

World-renowned forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Baden stated unequivocally that Jeffrey Epstein’s death was not suicide—it was homicide.
Baden, who was hired by Epstein’s family to independently observe the autopsy, has said repeatedly that the injuries to Epstein’s neck were more consistent with strangulation than hanging.
“I’ve never seen three fractures like this in a suicidal hanging,” Baden said during his media appearances.
These fractures include the hyoid bone, which is rarely broken in suicide cases but commonly fractured in homicide by strangulation.
Epstein’s neck also showed hemorrhaging that, according to Baden, typically occurs when pressure is applied manually.
The mainstream media and the political establishment rushed to call Epstein’s death a suicide. But Baden’s findings undermine that rushed conclusion.
He noted that the conditions in Epstein’s jail cell—the broken cameras, missing guards, and faulty protocols—only further support the theory of foul play.
Given the sensitive nature of Epstein’s client list, which included billionaires, politicians, and royalty, the motive for silencing him is not hard to find.
Baden’s assessment should have triggered a reinvestigation. Instead, it was swept aside.
The American people deserve answers. Epstein had the keys to secrets the elite did not want exposed. His sudden death was all too convenient.
For conservatives, this is just another chapter in the saga of a two-tiered justice system.
If this were a middle-class citizen dying under suspicious circumstances in a federal facility, there would be outrage.
But Epstein’s case was different. Too many powerful people had too much to lose.
We must demand a transparent inquiry—not orchestrated by the same institutions that failed to protect Epstein and failed to properly investigate his death.
This isn’t conspiracy—it’s common sense.
A man with powerful enemies, broken bones inconsistent with hanging, failed surveillance, and removed cellmates just happened to kill himself? It defies belief.
