Me, Myself & Irene 2: Double Trouble Reloaded (2026)

Posted on December 4, 2025

Starring: Jim Carrey, Renée Zellweger, Anthony Anderson, Chris Cooper, Richard Jenkins, Will Ferrell (Cameo)

The Truce Is Over. The Split is Total.

The rage is louder, the sweetness is softer, and the man caught in the middle is on the verge of total collapse. Me, Myself & Irene 2: Double Trouble Reloaded (2026) brings Jim Carrey back in full, chaotic form as Charlie Baileygates—the Rhode Island State Trooper with a severe case of Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). This time, the switching between the timid, kind-hearted Charlie and his aggressive, unhinged alter-ego, Hank, is faster, madder, and more ferociously comedic than ever before.

Three years on, Charlie has achieved relative stability. Thanks to consistent therapy, carefully managed medication, and the unwavering love of Irene (Renée Zellweger), Charlie is now a respected officer with a mostly stable life. Irene remains his rock: steady, loving, and the only person on the planet capable of calming down both volatile halves of her unpredictable man.

The Enemy Within and Without

But peace shatters when a complex new case emerges: a highly sophisticated, high-tech crime syndicate known as The Syndicate has systematically infiltrated Rhode Island law enforcement. They are planting moles, erasing key evidence, and turning entire departments against each other in a coordinated effort to control the region’s criminal underworld. Their leader is Dexter Vaughn (Chris Cooper), a brilliant, charismatic manipulator with deep, unsettling ties to Irene’s mysterious past and a talent for pushing vulnerable people into psychological breakdowns.

When Charlie is ambushed during a critical undercover investigation—an attack orchestrated by The Syndicate’s security chief (Anthony Anderson)—the trauma triggers something terrifying: Hank isn’t just back; he’s stronger, smarter, and absolutely done playing nice.

Simultaneous Chaos

For the first time ever, Charlie and Hank begin fighting for control simultaneously. The resulting chaos is pure, high-speed hysteria:

  • Whiplash Interrogations: Hank brutally bullies suspects for information while Charlie frantically apologizes, offering mints and tissues mid-threat.
  • Mid-Sentence Switching: Charlie confesses his deepest feelings to Irene, only for Hank to take over mid-kiss to deliver a crude, aggressive pick-up line.
  • Couples Therapy Disaster: A mandated session with their long-suffering psychologist (Richard Jenkins) turns into a literal wrestling match as both identities struggle for the seat.
  • The Unstoppable Car Chase: Charlie focuses on driving safely, while Hank leans out the window screaming threats and tactical, albeit insane, directions.

As Dexter’s Syndicate tightens its grip on the city, the inevitable happens: Irene is kidnapped. This forces Charlie to confront the ultimate truth: He doesn’t need to destroy Hank or silence him. He needs to work with him.

The Super-Cop Solution

In the explosive final showdown at Dexter’s high-tech, mountainside compound, Charlie and Hank finally achieve a fragile, unprecedented cooperation. They combine Hank’s raw brutality, tactical aggression, and zero fear with Charlie’s strategic intelligence, moral compass, and police training, forming one unstoppable, wildly dysfunctional, and totally unstable super-cop. Together, they tear through Dexter’s compound with the perfect, hilarious blend of brains, brawn, and total emotional instability.

Hilarious, action-packed, and featuring Jim Carrey at maximum, unchained insanity, Double Trouble Reloaded proves one thing: You can be two people… and still be the absolute craziest person in the room.
