Ballroom dancer Lindsay Arnold doesn’t play an active role on television any longer. But fans will always remember her exciting performances on “Dancing With the Stars.”
Today, the 32-year-old is focusing on other areas of life, including motherhood and her own fitness brand. Even after all this time, she has plenty of fond memories to share from her time on “Dancing With the Stars” and “So You Think You Can Dance.”
Check out what Lindsay Arnold had to say as she reflected on the early days of her professional dance career.
Lindsay Arnold Joined “Dancing With the Stars” at 19
The Utah dancer recently appeared on the “How I See It” podcast to discuss her ballroom career. Lindsay got her start as a teenager on “So You Think You Can Dance” season 9 alongside her best friend, Witney Carson. After that, both Lindsay and Witney landed roles on “Dancing With the Stars.”
“Growing up a dancer, the only show I wanted to watch was ‘Dancing With the Stars.’ That was my goal,” the 32-year-old remembered. “Auditioning for ‘So You Think You Can Dance,’ making it on that show, and then going straight from that to ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ it was insane!”
The podcast host pointed out that Lindsay Arnold was only 19 during her first “DWTS” season, made her one of the youngest pros in the show’s history. After 10 celebrity partners and one Mirrorball trophy, she decided it was time for a break.
“We always knew that we wanted to have kids. The right decision can still be excruciatingly hard,” Lindsay shared about her choice to step away. “Whether that was ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ motherhood, going into my Movement Club career, all of it started with a decision that felt so terrifying. And those have been the decisions that have been the most impactful in my life.”
The Ballroom Icon Will Always Appreciate Dance
After stepping away from “Dancing With the Stars,” Lindsay built her own fitness business. She recently appeared on “Good Morning America” to discuss her brand, The Movement Club.
“A lot has happened in these last five years, and I often think back to that version of me—new mom Lindsay, stepping into the unknown—and just feel so proud of her for trusting her instinct, even when it was hard,” the dancer told her Instagram audience.
Lindsay never officially ruled out a return to “DWTS,” but with another baby on the way, it seems unlikely to happen anytime soon. In the meantime, fans can often spot her in the audience to cheer on her younger sister, Rylee Arnold.
Fans expect “Dancing With the Stars” to be back on ABC this September.
In a shocking twist that left fans stunned, the complicated relationship between Kim Burgess and Adam Ruzek takes another dramatic turn — this time with unexpected pregnancy news that changes everything.
It all begins after an emotional and intimate moment between the two. What seemed like a fleeting connection quickly turns into something far more serious when Burgess discovers she’s pregnant — and Ruzek is the father.
The news hits hard. Not just for Ruzek, but for Burgess herself, who finds herself completely overwhelmed by the reality of the situation.
With a dangerous job, an unstable life, and a relationship still full of unresolved tension, Burgess is forced to face the hardest question of her life:
Should she keep the baby… or let it go?
At first, she hesitates. The timing feels wrong, the risks feel too high. Ruzek, equally shaken, struggles to process it all — but makes one thing clear: he will stand by her, no matter what she decides.
The pressure builds as both of them realize that this isn’t just about love anymore — it’s about responsibility, fear, and the unknown future ahead.
After a deeply emotional case, Burgess begins to see things differently. The idea of becoming a mother slowly starts to feel right. Against all odds, she decides to keep the baby.
For a brief moment, it seems like hope has returned.
But then… everything falls apart.
During a dangerous mission, Burgess is brutally attacked. The consequences are devastating — she loses the baby before it ever has a chance to be born.
The loss shatters both of them.
In an instant, hope turns into heartbreak, leaving fans completely devastated by one of the most emotional storylines in the series.
The tragedy doesn’t just take the baby — it leaves a deep emotional scar between them. Burgess shuts down, drowning in grief, while Ruzek is left feeling helpless and broken.
And yet, somehow, this shared pain begins to pull them back toward each other.
