According to the Lake Havasu City Police Department in Arizona, officers responded to a residence in the 1500 block of Chandler Drive around 2 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, where they found Sheets with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his family has been notified. The death remains under investigation by the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s office.
Born on May 13, 1958, in California, Sheets joined Storage Wars when it premiered in 2010 and appeared in 163 episodes over more than a decade. Fans knew him as “The Gambler” for his bold, intuitive approach to buying abandoned storage units — often wagering big on lockers that others passed over, then revealing surprising treasures inside.
