This rare condition, where the diaphragm doesn’t form properly, allowed his organs to move into his chest, restricting the development of his lungs. Daniel’s parents were devastated, but they knew they would fight for him with everything they had.

After spending 198 days in the NICU, Daniel was finally ready to go home, equipped with a G-tube and on a low oxygen requirement. The journey that had started with uncertainty and fear was now filled with hope and progress.
Over the next months, Daniel worked hard in occupational, physical, and feeding therapies, gradually improving. When Daniel reached 18 months, he began to walk and even run—something his parents once thought might never be possible.
The joy of witnessing their son’s growth and progress was indescribable. His recovery was nothing short of a miracle, and his parents were filled with pride.
By the time Daniel reached two years old, he had no more G-tube and had come off pulmonary hypertension medication. His development had far exceeded the expectations set by his medical team, and his parents were overjoyed.
