The Synopsis
The Dimensional Cataclysm The storybook is closing, but this time, the entire library is spilling out. Enchanted 3: A Tale of Two Worlds returns to the chaotic, musical intersection of fairytale and reality. Four years after the quiet suburban life explored in Disenchanted, Giselle (Amy Adams) and Robert Philip (Patrick Dempsey) face an existential crisis far beyond any wicked stepmother: the magic portal between Andalasia and New York City has violently shattered.
The resulting dimensional breach causes the two realities to permanently and unstably merge, creating a breathtaking, terrifying landscape known as “The Merge.”

Magic Invades Manhattan Amy Adams shines once again as Giselle, who is forced to lead the charge to restore balance in a world where her whimsy is now cataclysmic. In Times Square, billboards suddenly morph into towering, medieval castle walls. Wall Street finds its trading floor invaded by trolls and woodland creatures. Pigeons now offer unsolicited musical advice, and the mundane laws of physics are routinely broken. Robert, the eternally grounded lawyer, is now desperately trying to file injunctions against sentient ivy and giant talking beasts blocking the Lincoln Tunnel.
The Royal Arrival The chaos is amplified by the timely—and hilarious—arrival of King Edward (James Marsden) and Queen Nancy (Idina Menzel). Edward, still magnificently overdramatic, treats the crisis like an epic quest, attempting to “rescue” tourists from malfunctioning phone booths and battling a sanitation truck he mistakes for a metal dragon. Nancy, however, begins to struggle with the instability of the merged world. Menzel performs a powerful new song exploring the painful reality that while she found her fantasy life, that life is now threatening to destroy the real-world stability she once coveted.

The Threat to Ever After The uncontrolled merging has awakened a potent, new adversary: The Chronicler (casting TBA), a powerful sorcerer from the forgotten corners of Andalasia who sees this dimensional fracture as the ultimate opportunity. The Chronicler’s goal is not merely conquest, but to rewrite reality itself into a dark, eternal tragedy, erasing the very concept of joy and “happily ever after” across both worlds.
The Philips and the royals must unite across the swirling dimensions, using both Giselle’s newfound real-world resilience and Andalasia’s inherent magic to prevent their combined universe from collapsing into darkness.

The Grand Finale Filled with dazzling visual effects that seamlessly blend classic 2D animation techniques with high-stakes 3D action sequences, and featuring show-stopping musical numbers that span genres and dimensions, Enchanted 3 is the epic conclusion the franchise deserves. Giselle must make the ultimate choice, finally answering the question that has defined her life: Does she belong to the fairy tale, or is the fairy tale something she creates and belongs to her?
