Who is MC Tazo? Britain’s Got Talent stardom beckons for Gateshead dance icon

The Britain’s Got Talent judges are likely to not know what’s hit them on Saturday night as a performer takes to the stage who’ll need little introduction to viewers tuning in from the North East. As, while he first introduces himself to Simon Cowell and co as ‘Kevin from Gateshead’ he’s known to plenty of Geordies as local dance legend MC Tazo.

Typically starting at Easter, Britain’s Got Talent started earlier than usual this year, meaning the new series is now well into its stride, as a fresh batch of hopefuls aim to make it through the audition stages and edge closer to following in the footsteps of former BGT champions lile first ever winner Paul Potts and his successors, including Diversity, Collabro, Lost Voice Guy and young magician Harry Moulding, who took the crown after topping the public vote last year.

To make it through his audition and bid for a place in the live knockouts, MC Tazo will need to impress original Britain’s Got Talent judges Simon and Amanda Holden, long serving colleague Alesha Dixon and KSI, who is now a full time replacement for Bruno Tonioli, having impressed as a guest judge in the past.

Hailing from Gateshead, MC Tazo’s real name is Kevin Hogg. He has been a regular on the North East dance and Makina scene for years now, providing the soundtrack to many locals’ youth and nights out at clubs and raes across the region. And, as well as being a regular in bars and clubs, including the legendary New Monkey in Sunderland, Tazo has performed at huge events like Lost Minds, Noughty 90s and Clubland Live.Hailing from Gateshead, MC Tazo’s real name is Kevin Hogg. Letting the cat out of the bag on his Britain’s Got Talent appearance on Instagram, MC Tazo posted: ‘The secret is finally out…I’m on Britain’s Got Talent!! Still can’t believe I’m even saying that…’

He added: ‘Catch my audition LIVE on BGT tonight — I’d love your support!!Make sure you tune in and let me know what you think!’

Farrah Abraham’s daughter is recounting her experience at prom!

On Monday, April 13, the Teen Mom alum’s daughter, Sophia, 17, shared a carousel of photos on Instagram in a joint post with her mom. In the pictures, Sophia could be seen wearing a black high-low skirt and a lace long-sleeve shirt with a black leather corset over it.

She accessorized with black fishnet tights, long black hair and cheetah-print heels, wearing a full face of goth makeup. In some photos, Sophia posed alongside her friends, while in others she was next to her mom. She also included shots from inside the limo that took her to the dance, as well as a picture of her bouquet.

“Prom 2026 Thank you so much mother for making this prom such an amazing, fun experience,” Sophia wrote in her caption. “I’m so grateful for my beautiful, caring friends for making this very memorable night so fun .”

“I had a blast, although as a homeschooled person i did expect prom to be a little more than just people watching with a side of dance floor .”

Back in November, Abraham faced some backlash after letting her daughter Sophia continue to get body modifications. The Teen Mom star shared a joint post on Instagram with her daughter Sophia after the teenager got ear gauges and her belly button pierced. In the photo, Sophia could be seen wearing goth makeup and showing off her new jewelry while her mom snapped a pic in the mirror.

They also included two videos, one of Sophia getting gauges put in and another of her stomach getting pierced.

“New body modzzz belly piercing and ear gauges best piercer ever @sideshowfrank and best mother ever @farrahabraham <33,” their caption read.

Sophia’s piercings came a few weeks after Abraham let her daughter get permanent fangs installed. The teenager posted a video on Instagram in October where she could be seen standing with her mom before getting her teeth put in.

After they’re in, Sophia smiled and showed off her two fangs on either side of her mouth. “Finally got permanent fangz ‍♀️ Thank you,” Sophia wrote in her caption, tagging the place where she got them done.
