My heart is shattered, and every day I feel like I’m losing my daughter a little more. Angelina, my beautiful 5-year-old girl, should be running and playing like every child should. Since 2021, our lives have been consumed by one long, exhausting fight against a relentless disease that refuses to let go. In Russia, we tried everything we could, undergoing terrible procedures, but none of them gave us the results we so desperately needed.
Then, we found hope in Israel. The doctors there managed to put Angelina into remission, something we thought was impossible after so many failed attempts. But remission is not enough. The cancer is insidious, and it can come back at any moment. The only thing that can truly save Angelina now is constant treatment with expensive targeted drugs. These drugs are her only chance at survival, but they come at a high price.
One day, the drugs we had been using ran out. And that’s when the cancer returned. It came back stronger, faster, and more aggressive than before. The Russian alternative that we tried only caused severe side effects, making it clear that we can no longer risk anything less than what we know can work. I can’t gamble with my daughter’s life anymore.
We now face the harsh reality that the cost of a new stage of treatment is 1,215,000 rubles. For our family, this is an unimaginable amount of money, a sum that we simply cannot afford. But without this money, Angelina may not survive. I hear her whisper to me, “Mom, I want to live,” and every time I hear those words, my heart breaks into a thousand pieces. I can’t bear the thought of losing her, but without this treatment, there’s a very real chance that we will.
