The Philadelphia 76ers are riding high after a thrilling Game 7 victory and now shift focus to a tough Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup against the New York Knicks. As the No. 7 seed, they’ll open on the road against the No. 3 seed Knicks, with Game 1 set for Monday night at Madison Square Garden.

“They’re a really great team,” said VJ Edgecombe. “They’ve played together for a while, so they have strong chemistry. They play hard every night. We just have to match their energy and intensity — may the best team win.”
Here is the complete best-of-seven series schedule (start times and networks for Games 5-7 to be announced):
- Game 1: Monday, May 4 at 8 p.m. ET — Sixers at Knicks on NBC and Peacock
- Game 2: Wednesday, May 6 at 7 p.m. ET — Sixers at Knicks on ESPN
- Game 3: Friday, May 8 at 7 p.m. ET — Sixers vs. Knicks on Amazon Prime
- Game 4: Sunday, May 10 at 3:30 p.m. ET — Sixers vs. Knicks on ABC
- Game 5: Tuesday, May 12 — Sixers at Knicks
- Game 6: Thursday, May 14 — Sixers vs. Knicks
- Game 7: Sunday, May 17 — Sixers at Knicks
The teams split their regular-season series 2-2, with neither winning at home. Edgecombe stood out in the Sixers’ victories at the Garden.
This will be a rematch of their 2024 playoff encounter, when the Knicks won a hard-fought six-game series. That battle featured standout performances, including Joel Embiid’s 50-point game and Tyrese Maxey’s memorable 46-point overtime heroics.
The 2025-26 Knicks finished the regular season at 53-29. While the surging Sixers bring confidence, they know New York presents a major challenge.
“Their starting lineup is incredible,” Sixers head coach Nick Nurse said. “They’ve strengthened their bench and can play in different styles. Jalen Brunson is a handful, their rebounding is elite, and overall they’re a bigger, physical team than what we just faced.”
