President Donald Trump has pushed for over a year to build a new ballroom at the White House, ordering construction shortly after his second term began. But the radical left, blinded by Trump Derangement Syndrome, reflexively fights every single thing he tries to accomplish. This opposition goes way beyond politics—it’s downright dangerous.

The proposed addition isn’t just for fancy events. It includes major security upgrades that would let the U.S. Secret Service better protect the president and his family, no matter who holds the office. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche’s team sent a strong letter to the lawyers for the National Trust for Historic Preservation—the group behind the lawsuit that convinced a left-leaning D.C. judge to halt work.
The big issue? The East Wing has already been demolished, leaving an unfinished site that creates its own massive security vulnerabilities. The Justice Department drove this home in the letter:
The U.S. Department of Justice said a lawsuit challenging plans for a new White House ballroom is putting President Donald Trump at risk following what officials described as another assassination attempt.
Assistant Attorney General Brett A. Shumate pointed out that the latest incident happened at the Washington Hilton—the only large ballroom in D.C. suitable for presidential events, and the same place where another shooter targeted President Reagan 45 years ago. That venue poses serious challenges for the Secret Service.
“Put simply, your lawsuit puts the lives of the President, his family, and his staff at grave risk,” Shumate wrote. “I hope yesterday’s narrow miss will help you finally realize the folly of a lawsuit that literally serves no purpose except to stop President Trump no matter the cost.”
The DOJ is demanding the group drop the case immediately and warned they’ll move to dissolve the injunction and dismiss it if the lawsuit isn’t withdrawn by Monday morning. “Enough is enough. Your client should voluntarily dismiss this frivolous lawsuit today in light of last night’s assassination attempt on President Trump,” Shumate added.
Absolutely right. Pure Trump derangement is endangering the commander-in-chief and everyone around him. It’s time to end this nonsense.
White House Says Trump Orders Back Pay for All Homeland Security Employees Affected by Shutdown
WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump signed an emergency order Friday to ensure every employee at the Department of Homeland Security receives full back pay and benefits lost during the partial agency shutdown.
Trump emphasized the funds have a “reasonable and logical nexus” to DHS operations amid questions about reallocating congressional appropriations. Lawmakers have failed to pass funding after deadly incidents involving immigration agents earlier this year.
Tens of thousands of civilian workers at the U.S. Coast Guard, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, FEMA, and other DHS components went unpaid since the standoff began in February. The Senate moved Thursday to allow a House vote on a funding bill through September 30 to end the nearly seven-week shutdown.
Earlier, Trump ordered back pay for 50,000 TSA airport security officers, who started receiving checks this week after weeks of chaos, absences, and long lines at airports.
Enough with the games in Washington—our frontline security workers deserve to get paid.
