Just a week later, Lyla endured another round of intense ICE chemotherapy, a grueling regimen that tested her strength and resolve.
The combination of treatments continued to take a heavy toll on her small body. By July, she began a mix of chemotherapy and immunotherapy. These treatments, while essential, were harsh and left Lyla weak, fatigued, and vulnerable. Her condition worsened, and she struggled with severe neuropathy and pain. Walking became difficult, and she had to rely on a PCA (patient-controlled analgesia) pump for pain management during her immunotherapy sessions. In addition, Lyla’s weight loss became a significant concern, and her family made the difficult decision to place an NG (nasogastric) tube to ensure she received proper nutrition.

It provided the much-needed nourishment that allowed Lyla to continue fighting, helping her maintain strength during the most trying parts of her treatment.
