Sabrina: The Witching Hour (2026)

Posted on December 8, 2025

Starring: Melissa Joan Hart, Caroline Rhea, Beth Broderick, Nate Richert, Nick Bakay

The teenage years are definitively over, and the true reign of the most powerful witch in the Spellman lineage has begun. Sabrina: The Witching Hour returns to the iconic magical legacy, shedding the bright sitcom aesthetic and its signature laugh track for a sophisticated, high-stakes narrative saturated in magical politics and dark, urban fantasy elegance.

The High Chair

Sabrina Spellman (Melissa Joan Hart) is no longer fumbling with spells in the hallways of Westbridge High. She has ascended to the highest office in the magical world, becoming the High Chair of the Witches’ Council. Melissa Joan Hart commands the screen as a seasoned leader, trading her nostalgic denim jackets for high-powered, enchanted couture that signifies her authority and lethal grace.

Sabrina must now navigate a massive, existential crisis that threatens to merge the mortal world and the Other Realm—a catastrophic event that would destroy the delicate balance maintained for centuries. Her position forces her to make brutal, political choices and sacrifices that her aunts, living in a simpler era of magic, never had to face.

The Matriarchs and the Mentor

Returning to her side are the formidable matriarchs of the Spellman family:

  • Zelda (Beth Broderick) and Hilda (Caroline Rhea). The aunts are back not just as loving, eccentric guardians, but as the two most powerful, wisest figures in the magical government. Zelda’s scientific precision and Hilda’s intuitive compassion prove that decades of experience and wisdom are now the deadliest weapons in their magical arsenal.
  • Harvey Kinkle (Nate Richert), now a seasoned figure in the mortal world, grounds the story as Sabrina’s unwavering human confidant, often providing the crucial ethical perspective the magical world lacks.

And, of course, the cynical heart of the family, Salem (voiced by Nick Bakay), the warlock-turned-cat, is back. Sharper and more darkly comedic than ever, Salem serves as Sabrina’s indispensable, often morally dubious, advisor. In this high-stakes world where magic is a dangerous, often manipulated currency, Salem’s survival instinct and scathing commentary provide necessary levity and brutal truths.

Sophisticated, visually dazzling, and fiercely intelligent, this sequel sheds the sitcom innocence for a mature, complex narrative. Sabrina proves that while figuring out her powers as a teenager was hard, being the boss of all witches is a burden—and a power—that demands everything she has.
