Sable Offshore announced this week that oil is officially flowing once more through the Santa Ynez Pipeline System — the first time crude has moved through the network in over a decade since a major spill shut it down. The company reported successful operations starting March 29, with the pipeline now running at rates exceeding 50,000 barrels per day.
Sable COO and President J. Caldwell Flores told Fox News host Laura Ingraham during a visit to the facility: “60,000 barrels a day of processed crude going down to El Segundo refinery that’s owned by Chevron down there.” When asked how long it had been since the refinery received this volume, Flores replied, “They have not had our crude in over 11 years.”
This restart directly challenges years of Democratic policies that have deliberately crippled domestic energy production in favor of unreliable green dreams. While everyday Americans have suffered from high gas prices and skyrocketing electricity bills, California’s leaders have fought tooth and nail against using the state’s own abundant resources.
